Victor and Cripple Creek take advantage of the giant headframes that remain from gold rush days by lighting them up with huge ornaments through the holiday season. Visitors can appreciate these ghosts of the past while savoring the 18-year-old lighting tradition, sponsored by Newmont Mining Company, over the weekends until New Years Day. The lights are best viewed from public roads after dark and are weather- and volunteer-dependent.
