The Iron Springs Chateau will open its Summer/Fall production of “Prairied Treasure…or…Are you Sirius?” on Friday, June 14th 2019. Written by D. Chappelle, “Prairied Treasure” is a classic melodrama full of side splitting comedy! Poor Abby Everafter must free her innocent father from prison, but the villainous Sirius Swindlemore won’t even consider helping her. Both Rex Renard, the dashing young playboy and Rex Floatsom the fearsome pirate are more than willing to help Abby with her plight – but she doesn’t trust either of them, and to hear Ima Hack the reporter tell it, they are both crooks! How will Abby ever get her father’s name cleared?
This melodrama is a hilarious adventure that’s followed by a sing-along intermission and 1920’s Speakeasy themed Vaudeville style musical revue with jokes, songs and dances. It’s a blast for the whole family! This show runs through October 5th.
