George Humphrey is an operatic tenor and a Colorado native who resides in Tirol, Austria, where he is engaged full-time with the Tiroler Festspiele Erl. This will mark George’s first concert in Canon City.  He and his colleagues, Joyce Hanagan – oboe and Abe Minzer – piano offer a program of English language art songs.  Featured in this concert is the Ralph Vaughn Williams song cycle Ten Blake Songs that the composer wrote for voice and oboe.  Joyce Hanagan accompanies George on the oboe in this rarely heard set of  romantic English art songs.
