COMMUNITY CAROLING EVENT IN ACACIA PARK, DOWNTOWN
Everyone invited to kick off the holiday season with song
Colorado Springs, CO – On Friday, Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m., singers from Soli Deo Gloria Choir take to the Acacia Park bandshell to unite the community in song and kick off the holiday season Downtown. Song books will be provided, and the public is invited to bring their voices to add to the show.
“A performance offers our community a glimpse into the journey we share together each week,” Nathaniel Voelker, Artistic and Executive Director of the choir often says. “Our goal is to broaden and deepen connection within our community and beyond. With every voice, we are one song! This is a the perfect time to join in the fun!”
After the singalong, follow the choir to the grass near the skating rink as they participate in the Acacia Park Holiday Celebration beginning at 6 p.m.
Every Saturday from Nov. 15 until Christmas, find singers from the choir caroling in Downtown between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., creating a festive soundtrack for holiday shopping and dining, along with the Christmas Brass instrumental group. Carolers will also be participating in the Holiday Stroll on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 5-8 p.m. and on Christmas Eve from 2-4 p.m.
Experience all 165 voices of the multi-generational SDG Choir during their holiday concerts at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Broadmoor International Center and at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at First United Methodist Church, Downtown. Also, join in a fun community carol and performance event with SDG Singers at Kilwin’s in University Village from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 6.
