Colorado State Fair Parade Marshals Announced

PUEBLO, August 18, 2025– The Annual Colorado State Fair Parade, themed “Growing Traditions” Presented by Pepsi and Supporting Sponsor, T-Mobile Fiber is set to take place this Saturday, August 23rd at 10am. The Colorado State Fair Parade Committee has announced the 2025 parade marshals including: The Grand Marshal, The Pueblo Police Department and Parade Marshal, In Memoriam: Ralph Williams.

Serving the community since 1886, the Pueblo Police Department is dedicated to protecting and improving the quality of life for the citizens of Pueblo. With divisions in patrol, investigations, traffic, community services, and specialized units, the Pueblo Police Department works tirelessly to promote safety, reduce crime, and build strong relationships with residents. The department’s officers are actively engaged in community outreach, youth mentorship programs, and neighborhood policing initiatives, reflecting their belief that public safety is a shared responsibility. In recent years, PPD has implemented innovative training, technology upgrades, and crime-prevention strategies that have strengthened public trust and responsiveness.

The Colorado State Fair Parade Committee selected the Pueblo Police Department as the 2025 Grand Marshal in recognition of their unwavering service, commitment to protecting the community, and ongoing partnership with civic organizations, local schools, and festival events. Their presence represents both the history and the future of public safety in Pueblo. Our Parade Marshal, Ralph Williams was a devoted husband to Jan Williams and a loving father to their five children, to whom he dedicated his life with unwavering love, guidance, and support. His family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in nurturing their happiness and success.

A proud native of Pueblo, CO, Ralph carried his hometown in his heart throughout his life. His deep commitment to the community was reflected in his active involvement with numerous organizations, including the Rotary Club, Urban Renewal, Friends of Football, CSU Pueblo Foundation, Sons of Italy, the EPIC Board, and many others. Through his tireless service and leadership, Ralph worked passionately to enrich the lives of others and help make Pueblo a better place for all.

His legacy of love, pride, and service will live on in his family, friends, and the community he cherished so deeply. The Colorado State Fair parade, one of the oldest parades in Colorado, will take place Saturday, August 23 at 10am on Historic Union Avenue. The Colorado State Fair Parade is proudly brought to you by The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commer and its State Fair parade committee.
